Running Club

Challenge Alaska is excited to offer a Running Club for the summer of 2017. Many people have expressed interest in getting out and running / pushing a racing wheelchair to improve their fitness and enjoy the outdoors. This group will provide a weekly opportunity for these folks to get together and train as part of a club. The group will support athletes as they build endurance and strength. At the end of the summer, club members will have the opportunity to sign up for either the Anchorage Mile or the Spenard Roadhouse 5k and compete in the Anchorage RunFest weekend.

We will be meet on Wednesday evenings June 7 - August 19 from 6:00 - 7:30 pm at various locations around Anchorage to train. The fees for the running club are $25 and will include a Challenge Alaska Running Club t-shirt, as long as you attend at least 9 of the 12 practices. You will be responsible to sign yourself up for either of the races at the Anchorage RunFest.
