DSUSA Awards Challenge Alaska $4,500 Mentoring Grant

Beth Edmands, Executive Director of Challenge Alaska was happy to receive the news that Challenge Alaska has been awarded $4,500 from Disabled Sports USA to formalize their mentoring program for youth with physical Disabilities. Jeff Dick, CTRS and Blaze Sports Alaska Coordinator says that “Mentors as positive role models are one of the key elements in a successful youth development program”. Challenge Alaska has been a Disabled Sports USA chapter for over 20 years. According to Beth Edmands, Disabled Sports USA is one of our oldest and most important partners and can be proud of the impact they have made and continue to make on the lives of people with disabilities in Alaska.
