Stephens, Umstead Sweep Golds in Adaptive Skiing

Laurie Stephens and Danelle Umstead wrapped up the U.S. Adaptive Alpine Championships at Mount Alyeska on Sunday by completing five-race sweeps in their respective skiing events and collecting a fistful of gold medals. Stephens won the women's sitting slalom and Umstead won the women's slalom for visually impaired. Both women are Americans.

Also, Andrea Dziewior of Canada won the women's standing slalom to bag her fourth title of the week at Alyeska Ski Resort.

Josh Dueck of Canada earned his second championship with victory in the men's sitting slalom and Matt Hallat of Canada closed the week with his first championship, seizing gold in the men's standing slalom.
