Qualifications:
Demonstrates comfort and experience working with people with disabilities. Strong computer skills preferred, experience with Windows format computers necessary. Must be organized and able to provide support to the Adaptive Ski and Snowboard School Director as well as other Adaptive Ski and Snowboard School staff and volunteers.  Must be motivated and be able to work unsupervised. Able to handle situations as they arise in a calm, professional and appropriate manner. Strong communication skills. PSIA Level I certified adaptive ski instructor preferred. Able to deal independently with situations that may arise in the absence of their supervisor in a positive and professional manner.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily program activities with volunteers and participants.  Communicates daily with director to keep program outcomes consistent with mission and vision.  Responsible for regular communication with students, volunteers, teachers, parents and the Anchorage office. Complete daily office duties. Create and maintain a systematic checklist. Other duties as requested by supervisor.  Able to do accomplish all basic duties of all staff members, being the direct assistant to the director.  Work as a positive member of the Challenge Alaska team. Support Challenge Alaska’s mission through hard work, collaboration, shared leadership, and delegation.

Duties:
•    Share systems and tasks with Director and Office Coordinator, and Shop Coordinator.
•    Maintain policies and procedures for operation of program.
•    Volunteer recruitment and retention throughout the year.
•    Coordination of volunteers, participants to keep program running smooth
•    Manage daily operation of lessons.
•    Maintain safety and quality in daily operations.
•    Perform daily duties of program (see attached).
•    Recruit, certify and train volunteers for any volunteer duties needed.
•    Maintain an ongoing list of needs for both shop and facility.
•    Be willing and able to have perform the duties of other staff as necessary
•    Communicate with staff big picture of program.
